Thanol Company Limited is a Tanzanian multi-sector company founded in Dar es Salaam. We provide port and stevedoring services, medical equipment supply, ICT and engineering solutions, energy logistics, and general trading to government institutions, hospitals, and private enterprises across Tanzania and East Africa.

With active contracts, a licensed and verified workforce, and a growing operational footprint, Thanol is built to be a long-term partner for the organisations that power Tanzania's economy.

Our Story

We followed the work.
The work took us everywhere.

Thanol was founded on the strength of a vision: to be a Tanzanian company that serves multiple sectors with integrity, speed, and professionalism. We started in technology, engineering software and digital infrastructure for businesses and institutions across Dar es Salaam.

Our capabilities expanded rapidly. We secured approved vendor status with TANESCO. We built supply chain partnerships for medical equipment, delivering surgical instruments and diagnostic devices to hospitals. We pursued and obtained TASAC licensing, entering the regulated port labour market.

In 2024, Thanol was awarded a stevedoring and port labour contract with the Tanzania Ports Authority (TPA) at Kyela Port on Lake Nyasa, a landmark achievement. Simultaneously, we expanded our energy trading arm to include Lake Tanganyika fuel logistics, connecting Tanzania, DRC, and Burundi by vessel.
